We are the Ashes, We are the Fire by Joy McCollough has a very strong Prologue. I really liked the poem and being introduced to Em who is the narrator. Her voice comes through as the narrator of the story as she describes sitting through a play rehearsal and going home to the rest of her family working on dinner in the kitchen. Cant’t wait to read this one.
