After reading the blurb I didn't really expect to sink into this book's first impression excerpt, but I did. After a year of pandemic and social distancing and a world in uproar, I long to read upbeat, uplifting, and inspiring reads. But this story grabbed me in a forbearing push and pull kind of way.
