As I read the synopsis of the book, my first thought was "A book dealing dealing with rape, a topic which can be difficult, but also important amidst our society where women may experience and receive not justice." The novel begins with a poem which caught my interest and loved as an introduction. I enjoyed the author's writing and left a heartfelt impression.
