"Hard to read"

I am a middle school librarian, and when I share books that tackle important and thought-provoking and often gut-wrenching topics I let my students know that they can be emotionally hard to read and sometimes pausing to take a break to think is helpful. That is EXACTLY how I feel about this book.
I am interested in reading the rest of the book to decide whether I will add it to my school libraries. If I were a high school librarian I would have already decided "yes."
