A more serious contemporary story

This is definitely a more serious contemporary story that discusses many important topics. Em is going through so much, but you can really see how strong she is through all this. Although I appreciate the seriousness of this story, I am not usually a hard-hitting contemporary reader, so I am not sure this is for me. Nevertheless, I encourage readers who are looking for a more intense and mature YA story to pick this one up!
