This review is probably one of the hardest things that I have had to write because I do not know what words are adequate enough to describe the emotional journey I went on in this book. To say that I feel like I was beat up by this book is an understatement, and I mean that in the best way possible. There were so many things that I had to feel in the two hundred and some odd pages. I felt grief, anger, sadness, happiness, and so much more.

The characters were amazing, and the way they all come together so naturally in the story is something very few books are able to. Aaron meets Chad, meeting Chad brings in Ike and the boys and Hannah, and all of them meeting leads to some new piece of what feels like the puzzle of life. Along with each puzzle piece came humor, which I was not expecting to be so well done in such an intense read, but it came in really nicely.

Did I like every single comparison or metaphor the book had to offer? No. Does that matter? Definitely not. I think the most important part of it is going open minded into a journey that will show you something new. That is the best way I can describe what it is to read this book.
