Lumberjacks, Best-Life Bro, Beethoven's Anvil and a bookstore make this book a true joy to read. I had a hard time liking Aaron, the main character, at first because he was so rude and negative, but as the story line about him develops, I came to understand why he was the way he was. Aaron and his family have gone through a very traumatic experience.
Never having read one of Gayle Forman's book before, I really enjoyed this one. It was relatable and the characters although at times unlikeable, really came together at the end. It was really nice to see them rally around each other to make their friends dream come true. The author did a really great job in showing how addiction effects the entire family too.
I flew through this book pretty quickly and I liked the ending. I think it would be kind of neat if there is a sequel so we can see where Aaron ends up in life.
