Gayle forman does not fail at making you feel your emotions. This book is about family, love, grief, fear, and so much more. The main plot is that Aaron and his dad, Ira, are struggling with the business of their independent bookstore while Aaron feels trapped in his small town. His brother passed away and his mom moved away and the last thing he wants is to hold onto a failing bookstore. He then meets Chad and Hannah and his life starts to turn. As much as I loved the story and how it came full circle to make you feel a certain way, I could not stand Aaron, the main character. But that is also because he is an unreliable narrator and I can not stand those. On the other hand, I loved all the supporting characters throughout the book. It gave a good balance between wanting to smack aaron upside the head with a book and being hopeful that people still care about eachother. The plot went at a good pace and was a quick read. I appreciated the fact that everything happening was to move the story forward and there was not much space or time to have "filler" chapters. Also a fun fact is that the chapter titles or book titles. It is suiting for the theme.
