As if being set in a used bookstore is not appealing enough, this one kicks off with a Neil Gaiman quote, so obviously good things are coming. The narrator, Aaron, is having a rough time and dealing with a lot of personal loss. The early chapters are setting this up to be a story of personal growth for Aaron, with his current read - The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs by Steve Brusatte - as a metaphor for his own life, as he sees it. There are already quirky and charming locals and a small-town vibe. Excited to see what happens for Aaron and Bluebird Books!
