They say don't judge a book by the cover, but the cover is the first thing we see that jumps out at us, calling us to the book. This cover didn't say anything to me. I've seen better designed "self-published" covers. One author I am current reading - she used a cover designer, and that book is gorgeous.
The next problem? The story. Yes, it is YA (young adult), but doesn't seem like YA. Then again, maybe the genre has changed since I was younger. The Twilight Saga was far more YA than this.
The plot didn't seem interesting either and I was wondering what the point was. This didn't seem to have one. I didn't see how the title played into the cover or story.
Hard pass on this on for me.
