I'm not quite sure what to say about this book, I'm not going to lie. I really love the concept and the aesthetic (of both the characters/setting and the writing). I'm absolutely in love with the idea of the world and how the author set it up, but I never quite felt like I really understood the rules of the world or who was who, or how it worked. Maybe that was the point, but I personally didn't love that aspect of the book. I loved the shifting perspectives, and the way the author used them, but I think sometimes there was a bit of a disjointed feeling to it, that I wasn't a huge fan of. I think the real strength of this book and the author's writing was the concept. It was grand and fascinating and really cool to work through, but I think there could have been one or two more drafts to allow for more time for the author to refine and clarify their ideas and characters. Overall 3 stars!
