Wow, I was not expecting to love this but I did.

I have no words. I really don’t even know what happened. I know there are two main characters, a magical city, and that’s about it. I don’t mean that in a bad way. It was good. It was stunning. I haven’t yet decided if Astrid is good or evil, and I don’t know if she’s working for the good guys or hiding things from them. Jesse is really cool. She’s trying to make a new start for herself and I want to see where her story goes.
The plot is where I got confused, which I assume will sort itself out as it goes. I just need to know what happened, what is happening, help. I need this book now. It’s not often that I read an opening and have to know what the heck I just read, but when it happens, I know I’m in for a wild ride.
