I love a book with a large cast of characters and this one definitely fits the bill. With an ensemble that is connected through history, bloodlines and fate. You’re thrown into a rather confusing alt reality full of myth and magic. With plenty of dark secrets hiding underneath. Prophecies and curses begging to come to fruition. All building up to what feels like a revolution of epic proportions.
Something I do feel is missing is the inclusion of a trigger/content warning for suicidal ideation, homophobia and transphobia since I have a feeling these instances will only continue to develop as the story goes on.
