At a glance, this looks ok, but I end up finding it confusing and additionally I am not into the queer stories, especially of a YA variety (30 something here).
The plot sounds like it could be an old epic fantasy, then it becomes clear this is a mish-mash of urban / modern / and fantasy elements, which isn't my thing at all
