I really like the writing style of this snippet, it’s down to earth but with a tinge of magic. The characters seem introspective and there are several of them. The writing style is very direct and not overly descriptive but just sufficiently so. I’m curious to read more and am left wondering about the characters and who my favorites might be. Also, nice cover. Definitely eye-catching and illustrative of the large cast.
