Edwin Hill put together a page turning mystery in this thriller! I have to say, I was kept guessing until the end. What a quick read!
Hester and Angela are after the bad guys in this tale. Hester is a librarian who has a knack at finding missing people. When a local University asks for Hesters help tracking down missing students, she uncovers more than she bargains for.
Maxine is the star behind the scene. She takes charge of all things relating to Prescott University as well as the family who owns it. As this tale unfolds, the families dark secrets begin to unravel.
While I enjoyed this book, I did not care for how connect all the characters were. Hester is friends with Angela who works with Stan who is Maxines brother. Maxine asks Angela and Hester to investigate a possible break in to her boss’s family home.
Maxine then hires Hester to dig into a list of students. Hester finds Libby and Barrett. Then Libby winds up in trouble and it all twists back to Angela, Stan, Hester and Maxine. Too connected.
Overall I rated this a 3.5 rounded up to 4 out of 5 stars. I would like to read the other Hester books after getting a rate of Edwin Hills style.
