This is the 3rd book in the Hester Thursby series. I have not read the first 2 books, however after reading this one I’ll be going back and reading those also. There is no reason this book couldn’t be read first, I wasn’t missing much by starting with this one.
The series focuses on a Harvard librarian named Hester Thursby.
This story, however centers on a family who owns a for profit college. The family has quite a few secrets both new and old. And the people who, in love, help keep the secrets.
Hester actually has very little to do with the main story line but does have some very interesting emotional growth of her own.
I feel this book was a bit of a slow burn but with good payout in the end. A few twists and turns especially at the end. A few I had figured out with a few I did not see coming. I will definitely read more Edwin Hill books and like I mentioned I’ll be reading the first 2 books in this series.
