A fantastic whodunit that admirably checks all the boxes of what a mystery novel should be. Edwin Hill irrefutably offers his readers an intriguing, down to earth cast of characters that are relatable and supply bits of uncanny humor which flawlessly carries through to the narrative. The ingenuity of Hill’s heroine and her unique group of friends provides a refreshing change to this popular genre. The plot moves quick and decisively with brilliant twists and turns. Hill’s stellar storyline is brimming with plenty of suspense in what is his third installment of the Hester Thursby series. While the book can be read as a stand alone it offers more as part of the series.
