This psychological thriller’s setting is on the prestigious Prescott University, a private for-profit college. The Matson family run the institute and they live in a mansion centered on campus. Jessica and Tucker Matson are covering something, but you will be shocked with what all they have to hide.
When some of the students have disappeared, there appears to be some shady collaborators, so Hester, a librarian/researcher and detective Angela take the case to locate them.
The family appears to have secrets not just with the students disappearing, but also a tragedy of a baby that happened 30 years ago. When the search for the students collide with the family’s secrets, this makes for a build in tension and a new murder of a student on a campus.
I enjoyed the hunt for the truth, but wish I could have read it in one setting because I kept losing track of the characters until I had to draw up of descriptions of each.
