I love a good mystery, and was especially excited to see that there was a librarian in this one! However, with the jump in time and the story giving several perspectives, I was having a little trouble following the story and keeping the characters is straight. For example, it was hard to recognize the character of Maxine that was introduced in the beginning of the story with the same character when she appeared a couple of chapters later. I would have liked a little bit more of the story to at least have an idea of what the mystery is going to be about. I felt like I got more of the story from the synopsis than from the first few chapters.
Considering the many awards the author has one and the fact that this book is part of an established series, I'm sure the story will be worth reading, but I just need a little more to go on before I can give an accurate opinion.
