I am not sure exactly why I did not like this book. I did not feel attached to any of the characters and I was just ready for the book to be over pretty early on. From other goodreads reviews I can see that it is well liked by most that have read it but I also see that this is the 3rd book in a series which I did not realize when I was trying to read it. This is probably why I did not connect to the characters. Normally I love series, some of my favorite books are actually in a 20+ book series but I like them because of all the character development that happens and builds into one another. I may try this book again; but will first go back and check out the first book in the series so that I can better understand the characters. It took a long time for the story to really get going too, which did not help as I love fast paced thrillers and mysteries so a book that doesn't have any action going on for at least the first 1/3 of the book would normally having me dnfing it 10-15% of the way in.
