Well, well, well.... I call a mystery fiction book a win if I can easily make it through cover to cover in under 24 hours. For this one, I found myself reading through in just a few short hours. Page turner is one descriptor - and mystery fiction win is another.

While I found myself pulling a various threads early on as to who carried the secrets and the cover ups, I still did not see the exact ending coming until I quickly flipped through the last few pages. Given that, this author will see more shelf space on my bookshelf in years to come.

I cannot wait to lone this one to a friend and then find myself discussing the story over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. From Maxine and Vanessa to Angela and Hester, this book was carried by the female voice and strong women supporting strong women. The men stood on the fringes to help push the story forward, but it was the women who shone brightly.
