This was an odd mystery. I had trouble following it at times. Other times it just didn’t keep my attention. I’m not saying it wasn’t good. It just wasn’t my type of mystery. The author did a good job of keeping me guessing and spinning a great tale. I just wasn’t always following what was going on.
Detective Angela White is at a fancy campus party when she’s called to the home of the college owners. The wife claims someone broke in and Hester is left to investigate. The more she searches for the intruder, the more she thinks something fishy is going on.
Hester wonders why the Matsons would lie about something like this. Then the GM of the college asks Hester to look into some missing Alumni. Hester starts connecting some dots and realizing there is a lot more to the mystery than meets the eye.
The story did keep me guessing. It just wasn't the type of mystery that I am into.
