Watch Her by Edwin Hill is the third book in the Hester Thursby mystery series, though in my opinion, it could be read as a stand alone book. It is the first book by this author that I have read but it definitely won’t be the last. It is an intense storyline about a very powerful wealthy family whose lives are filled with deep, dark secrets. I was both shocked and horrified to learn about the family secrets. The author is to be commended for his creation of the conflicted, yet at times compassionate characters. At the very beginning I was a little confused trying to figure out who was who, but as I continued reading, I became so drawn into this chilling psychological thriller I didn’t want to put it down. Without giving away any spoilers, it is a suspense read that will keep you on the edge of your seat and the twisted ending will send chills up your spine. I rated it a five.
