I REALLY enjoyed "Watch Her", #3 in the Hester Thursby series. While some things may not be evident if you haven't read #1 - 2, it did not take away from my understanding and enjoyment of #3, a credit to Hill. I had enough info to be satisfied, w/o feeling under or overwhelmed.

"Watch Her" is a really good read, with lots of mystery and parallel story lines. Hill does a great job of pulling it all together in the end, with more than a few surprises. And I really liked the characters, who were a great mix of those doing what they think is right, regardless of the consequences, and the exploration of loyalty - what it means within families, or between police officers. I use the term "families" loosely, b/c there are many families within this story - some healthy, some toxic - some blood and some not - and not everything works out in the end. Very satisfying read, and I know I say this a lot, but I look forward to reading 1 & 2. and #4!

Thanks so much for the advance copy!
