Once I started this book, I absolutely could not put it down. I just adore Edwin Hill and this series. This book kept me engrossed right from the beginning. All the characters were unique in their own way, and some held dark secrets. Hester's character is one I just loved the most. I love how she goes above and beyond to solve the mystery. I also enjoyed how Edwin told the story as to where I felt like I was right in it watching it all play out. At one point I thought I maybe had it figured out, but boy was I wrong!!! I absolutely can not wait to read more books by Edwin Hill. He is such an amazing author and I am just blown away by his books, characters, and stories. All I can really say is a huge thank you to Bookish for gifting me this copy. This book is definitely one of my favorites that I plan on telling all my friends and fellow book lovers about!
