The first bit was really good. However, after that it got confusing and I felt like a lot of characters were shoved down my throat. The storyline was good so I was really disappointed!! I ended up skimming to figure out the connection between Maxine and the rest of the characters. I guess that Maxine holds secrets that are key to solving the mystery. I feel like if the author had not introduced so many people in the first parts I would have liked it better!
