I really liked how the characters are introduced! It really makes me want to find out what happens to them. And the writing is so good! I can see myself curling up and reading this in one sitting. I can already tell that the book has substance and is intelligent, unlike some of the thrillers being published today. I did not know the author or the other books in the series, but based on the excerpt I just bought the first book!
