The first few chapters give a good introduction to the characters but hard to tell about the overall story. There's no hint of the mystery so far, other than the mention that Maxine may have something in her past. I enjoy mystery and suspense, and the blurb was intriguing, so hopefully the enjoyable writing style in the beginning continues on.
