I am a big fan of mysteries and thrillers, but sometimes that means I am harder on them than other first impression books. I enjoyed this start. I liked the pacing, I liked the writing, and although I don't feel that I was fully sucked into it quite yet, I could definitely see myself enjoying this read. I don't think I have a totally clear picture of where this novel is headed either from the first look or from the synopsis even (mainly because the novel brings in a lot of characters not really mentioned in the synopsis at the start), but in some ways that makes a mystery more fun to read.
