I have recently been attempting to get into more literary adult fiction, and this science fiction book sounded like an amazing way for me to get in. Also, a translated novel? Pretty cool! I want to read more translated novels! However, this was definitely a little difficult to get through. I found myself very confused at parts or getting impatient-- this is a thick book, so I don't recommend reading it if you're not willing to wait. However, ultimately, there was so much to offer and it felt very rewarding to finish it. I loved the themes of mistakes, but also of realizing your faults and self-correction. At the end, I felt as though I had to just sit and think just to comprehend what was going on-- my brain was too tiny.
Although this was slow-paced, I don't think I regret reading this novel. It was definitely... an interesting experience.
