This sucked me in. I had to slow down my reading and focus to really understand the text. This reads like literary fiction and has the fascinating environment of independent Mars (meaning there was a war of independence). A space ship is traveling between Earth and Mars and has three groups- students who have spent five years on Earth, a delegation from Earth, and a delegation from Mars returning home. The glimpses of the characters are intriguing enough that I Want to keep reading and see what happens next. The prose is deliberate, reflective, and lyrical.
