"Vagabonds" at first reminded me of "The Martian" as it talked a little about the exploration of Mars after Earth. However, after the introduction and little add-ons here and there, the main difference between the two would be the anecdotes that come from many people in "Vagabonds" compared to the main character in "The Martian."
While the excerpt was interesting in how it portrayed the tales of others and somewhat explored the hard impact of how large the time gaps are when going through space on humans, the narrative was a little too spread out for me. There was no one person I felt like was a main character for me, or someone I could relate to.
