From the first impression, I can tell it is going to be a good book! It is the year 2190 on Earth and the year 40 on Mars. All of the passengers on the old ship, Maearth are going to Mars.
There are 3 different groups on board the ship, which is huge. The first group is a delegation of 50 people from Earth going to Mars, The second group is a delegation of 50 people from Mars going home, the third group is 20 students all 18 years of age who are from Mars, and have spent the last 5 years on Earth, also going home.
This ship is really old and not anything like the transportation ships now, but it has a rich history, and a lot of it can be seen by the photographs all over the walls from Earth and from Mars, however not in chronological order.
From this little I have read, I know something big is going to happen, so need to read to see what!
