My first impression was the prose was a little dry. As I continued to read I became more interested in this story. Humans have colonized Mars but brought with them the human tendency to war with each other. The novel begins as a delegation from Earth and Mars returns to Mars for a planetary fair. The atmosphere is drenched in political intrigue from the start.
