In the middle to late 1970s, I didn't give a damn about what was happening in other nations. I was a high school student at the time, thus I was ignorant of the communist activities carried out by the Khmer Rouge. Hence, as I read Beneath the Naga Tail in the present, I am reminded of how significant history is and how it should not be disregarded.

The hardships and challenges Mae faced are detailed in this book. To survive and be reunited with his family, he must endure the unimaginable.

The hardship endured by Chinese Cambodians under the Khmer Rouge dictatorship, including Mae Bunseng Taing, cannot be adequately expressed in words. It is inconceivable to envision such horrors occurring on a mass scale.

Even if readers are hesitant because they have already read historical fiction or other memoirs on Cambodia, UNDER THE NAGA TRAIL will keep their attention while also adding to their historical knowledge.
