This is the type of book that I always try to find. I've never heard of the Cambodian civil war before and am always glad of a book that broadens my horizons. However, this book goes beyond that. The story telling is truly well done and I already have a large stake in these characters. I was a little intimidated when I saw the maps and family trees at the start. But this book is easy to follow and straightforward.
