So before reading this first look, I’d never really considered reading a memoir before—why, I’m not sure since I love fiction in the vein of the Kite Runner that tells of the struggles of people in other parts of the world. This very much read like fiction and shed light on a topic I’m completely unfamiliar with. My one comment is that the family tree in the beginning of the book was a little difficult to put together at first, probably because it was in a format different than what I am used to
