What a captivating story! I was so pleasantly surprised by this First Look. The author did a fantastic job of laying the groundwork before the story begins, and I appreciate the details of the family tree and maps. When reading about an unfamiliar topic, or an unfamiliar are of our world, those details are much appreciated. I found this First Look to be the start of a story I could lose myself in. Heartbreaking, but truly inspiring.
