First off, the cover art is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the Cambodian genocide was not something that I was taught about in school growing up, so I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about it in this forum. I appreciate the family tree and introductions to the characters before the story begins so that it is easier to keep track of everyone. The maps were also a great addition. I appreciated being able to learn about this horrific event through the eyes of someone who lived it.
