Trace of Evil is a thrilling page turner about a small town and it's eerie history of witchcraft. Throughout the book you learn about the death of Natalie's sister years ago and a more recent death that grips the town with fear and opens up the curiosity of main character Natalie . As the book progresses you meet many characters who all seem as though they could play a roll in the terror surrounding the town . The book pulls you along as you try to unravel the mysteries of Burning Lake . The characters are developed well with emphasis on the main characters life and her family but also strong development of supporting characters. It was easy to keep track of who each character was due to the excellent writing. This book truely keeps you in suspense from the very beginning and ends with a complete 360 that I never saw coming ! The town of Burning Lake has a dark past and even darker present that Natalie will risk any and all cost to shed some light on.
