This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it!
I read a LOT of mysteries and thrillers, so when I read what this book was about, I was interested. Immediately after getting started, I realized that I have never read much about witch craft. I found that piece very interesting, it was a culture that I knew very little about.
With the main character being a rookie cop in her home town, it seemed like she had an interesting inside view on the people the crime involved. Due to that, she likely was able to uncover information that others would have over looked. This was a twisty story that kept me guessing until the very end!
This seems like the interesting start to a new series. I would love to read more from this author and around this character!
