Tourists flock to this sleepy Upstate New York town to see where three witches were supposedly burned. Because of this history, the town uses interest in the occult, magic, and satanism to draw in tourists. Detective Natalie Lockhart grew up there and knows teenagers still dabble in the occult and as a new hire to the force, she is given a cold case, but while investigating what happened a new murder occurs that hits close to home.
Natalie is courageous even though she is sometime fearful of what is happening in the town. The writing was fantastic and Blanchard does a great job of beautifully describing details.
