My impression of this story is WOW! The past and the present collide and who do you trust. Losing a loved one to violence would have to be the most terrible thing. How do you move on from that and carry on your life? Being a cop and seeing the worst of humanity would haunt your days with the past. I want to read this book and see how this ends.
