Natalie is a small town cop, in a community with a history of witchcraft. Does the history have anything to do with her older sister's murder twenty years ago? Or the recent death of her other sister's friend? Or the nine cold cases that are still unsolved years later? I suspect it does, and that it will be a part of Natalie trying to unravel the connections between cases that look unrelated. The book is a little heavy on unnecessary details to try and create atmosphere, but it's a good start.
