I really appreciate authors who can be descriptive, and this one hits it right on the head. Not just the physical surroundings (though that is also one of the highlights of this story), but to describe characters' feelings and emotions. This first impression does a great job of that: how the cemetery looks, how the officer/sister feels about the grave site being defaced (but is also expecting it), etc. If an author can help me connect to the setting and characters of a book, I am all in; so far, this story has done that.
