DNF @ 30 pages
The premise was interesting: historical fiction in Ireland mixed with fantasy and a bit of romance. I began reading this book with some high expectations but unfortunately "To the waters and the wild" didn't work for me.
Firstly, the story was quite disjointed - I felt that the author was doing more telling and showing and I couldn't get invested in the story. Also, the characters weren't likable and the different/unique names didn't help to get me connected. While the writing was easy, I found it with excessive description and lack of freshness. Having said that, I am still looking forward to reading a good Celtic story.
