I really enjoyed this story about a girl named Keelin. From a young age, she is destined to be a priestess, however it is clear that she resents having her future set for her.
Set in Ireland during the Roman empire, this book s a wonderful combination of fantasy, adventure and romance.
Part of Keelin 's power is that of a healer, but she also shows skill in communicating with animals and eventually traveling between worlds.
I thought the story was well written, however, the ending felt rushed. There were also times throughout the book when the point of view changed, and so it took a moment to reorient myself to the character.
I would reccomend this story to anyone with an affinity for Ireland and it's magic.
