St first I thought this was a fantasy novel until I went back to the excerpt and saw it's actually historical fiction. Sounds very interesting, especially being a small Scottish island shrouded in mystery along with a touch of magic or magical realism. While I'd really like to read the main story as I love all things magical, I'm not a huge fan personally of too much romance added in so not sure if this is one for me.
