Historical Fiction woven with magic

I need a moment to take in everything that is going on. There is magic, war, scholars, warriors and gods. Add in turmoil and an interesting and intricately woven plot and this sounds really exciting. I'm not too keen on the cover and the title. I feel like the cover could better encompass the magic and the war within its ages, but i'm definitely excited for this one.
